01/ About ABC & Its Services
What does ABC do?
ABC provides training, technical assistance, shared digital services, research, fund management, and marketing support to MFIs, SACCOs, NGOs, and financial inclusion partners. We help institutions strengthen governance, improve performance, and deliver better services to their clients.
Who does ABC work with?
We work with SACCOs, MFIs, VSLAs, development agencies, fintechs, government partners, and financial inclusion stakeholders across Uganda and the region.
How is ABC connected to AMFIU?
ABC is the commercial and technical arm of the Association of Microfinance Institutions of Uganda (AMFIU). This connection gives ABC access to extensive sector insights, networks, and partnerships that enhance our service delivery.
What makes ABC different from other consulting firms?

Can ABC customize training for my institution?
Yes. Every institution has unique needs. We assess your gaps and design a tailored training program aligned with your goals, staff capacity, and operational environment.
Does ABC provide on-site and virtual training?
Yes. We provide physical, virtual, and hybrid training depending on your preference and location.
What is technical assistance (TA), and how does it work?
TA involves hands-on support from our experts to help institutions strengthen operations — such as risk management, governance, product development, or digital transformation. We assess your challenges and work with your team to implement practical solutions.

What research services does ABC provide?
We conduct needs assessments, baseline studies, impact evaluations, market assessments, institutional assessments, and innovation research within the financial inclusion sector.
What is the Microfinance Innovation Hub?
It’s ABC’s ecosystem for testing, piloting, and scaling innovative solutions that support digital financial services, product development, and institutional improvement.
What digital services does ABC offer under Shared Services?
Our shared services include digital financial services platforms, MIS support, insurance solutions, and other technology-driven tools that improve institutional efficiency.
How can institutions access ABC’s shared digital platforms?
You can contact us directly to request onboarding. Our team will assess your needs, prepare a deployment plan, and support your transition to the platform.

How do we request services from ABC?

Does ABC charge for consultations?
Initial consultations are free. Detailed assessments, customized training, and technical assistance are charged based on the scope and level of engagement.
How long does it take to complete a project?
Timelines depend on the type of service. Training may take days or weeks, while research and technical assistance projects can span several weeks to months.
Can we partner with ABC on donor-funded or joint projects?
Yes. ABC frequently collaborates with development partners, NGOs, and international organizations. We welcome proposals for joint programs and sector-wide initiatives.
